- Does Dengelstock need an internet connection?
- No. Everything except the Links screen works fully offline. The Links screen opens a short list of outside scythe resources in the app's own browser, and simply shows a note if you're offline.
- Where is my data kept?
- On your device only. Your blades, peening log, snath fittings, meadows and sessions are stored locally and are never uploaded anywhere. See the privacy policy for the full detail.
- How do I change my honing or peening interval?
- Open Settings from the Mow screen's toolbar. Both intervals, plus reminders and haptics, are set there and are remembered from then on.
- Can I move my fitting record to a new snath?
- Yes — add a new fitting from the Setup tab, or edit an existing one. Each fitting keeps its own measurements and photos, so you can keep more than one snath's record side by side.
- Why does the app ask for camera or photo access?
- Only if you choose to attach a photo — to a peening entry, a windrow, a snath fitting, or a shareable session card. Nothing is captured or read without you starting that action yourself.
- The honing reminder didn't go off. What do I check?
- Confirm notifications are allowed for Dengelstock in the iOS Settings app, and that the reminder toggle in the app's own Settings is switched on.
